Abeid Amani Karume International Airport is named after the island’s first president and it is the main airport in Zanzibar located on Unguja Island. The airport caters for both domestic flights and an extensive number of international flights.

Ensure your passport has 6 months of validity from the date of entry.

Non-East Africa Community (EAC) Citizens who require a Visa are kindly reminded to visit the nearest Tanzanian Embassy or Consulate of their country of residence. Alternatively, arrangements can be made to receive one on arrival.
